Inspired by the short ribs at Moe'south Eating place an Tavern in Cuyahoga Falls, I fix out to brand "barbecued" brusque ribs in my Instant Pot.

My big change to the restaurant's recipe is using flanken cut ribs - sparse, cross-cut beef short ribs. They're easier for me to find at my local stores than "regular" cut short ribs, and the thin cut ways they cook evenly and quickly. Recipe: Instant Pot BBQ Braised Short Ribs

Homemade Chipotle BBQ Sauce (or utilize 1 ½ store bought BBQ sauce)

  • 8 ounces ketchup

BBQ Short Ribs

  2. Season the brusque ribs, then fill the pot: Sprinkle the short ribs on all sides with the BBQ rub. Pour the water and liquid smoke into an Instant Pot or other pressure cooker, so loosely stack the ribs in the pot. Drizzle ½ cup of BBQ sauce evenly over the ribs.
  3. Force per unit area cook the short ribs for 25 minutes with a Natural Release: Lock the hat on the pressure cooker. Cook at loftier pressure for 25 minutes in an electric pressure cooker or xx minutes in a stovetop cooker. (Use "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" mode set up for 25 minutes in an Instant Pot). Notes
